Street Date and Album Release Party for “The Month’s Mind”

We have set the release date for our new album, The Month’s Mind and it’s June 12! In celebration of the release, we’ll be hosting an album release party on Saturday, June 16 at Ruba Hall (at 414 Green St.) in Philly. Special guests for the evening include This Way to the Egress as well as members of the Philly drum group Unidos da Filadelfia. It will be a Panic Years show like you’ve never seen before! More details coming soon…

Cake, Incubus, and… Panic Years???

We are excited to announce we have made it into the final 4 to play Radio 104.5’s 5th Birthday Show! The final 4 were whittled down from 25 bands and it’s up to you to help us claim the opening slot in the lineup. If we win, we’ll join Cake, Incubus, Angels and Airwaves, Civil Twilight and Flogging Molly for an already SOLD OUT show at Festival Pier (Penn’s Landing) in Philly! So if you would be so kind, CLICK HERE to vote and help us out!

Request Panic Years On Your Local College Station!

You know what the sweetest sound in the world is? Hearing a song you wrote being played on the radio! Seriously, it is. Like when you’re driving home from somewhere late at night, thinking of how nice a warm bed and 8 hours of sleep would be, and then your song pops up on the radio… it’s equivalent to drinking a Red Bull and eating a pack of Pixy Stix. All of a sudden you feel like you can drive forever. So you can imagine how excited we were to find out that a bunch of radio stations have started playing songs off our new album, The Month’s Mind. Here are a few of the stations: XPN2, WXPN, WRFF, WPNR, WLUR, KLCZ, WRSU, WMCO, WLOY and WBOR. Be sure and call your local college station and request Panic Years!

“Two Hearts”

We’re offering up a free download of our new song “Two Hearts” from our forthcoming full-length album, “The Month’s Mind.” The pro-beats are courtesy of our Casio MT-68 (bad-ass), with some help from our drummer Carl (also bad-ass). Check it out and let us know what you think!

Come preview some new PY songs this Friday!

We just got the masters of our new album last night and damn, it feels good to finally have this thing in our hands. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the new songs and new sound. We won’t reveal the title of the new album just yet, but we can tell you that the album includes some new sounds including strings, bells, synths and even a french horn. Can’t wait to get our full live set together! In the meantime, if you want a sneak preview of a few of the new songs, come check us out at the North Star Bar this Friday night (Feb. 10). Other bands on the bill include the Violet Tone, Talain Rayne and the Joe Trainor Trio. Hope you can make it out!

Goodbye 2011!

Welcome to the new Panic Years website! As the year comes to an end, we find ourselves grateful for a productive 2011, with highlights including a mini-tour down to SXSW and playing in front of thousands of people at Radio 104.5‘s Summer Block Party (with the Airborne Toxic Event and the Naked & Famous). We’re optimistic about the year ahead, especially because we recently finished recording our debut full-length album, which will be out at some point in 2012. If you click here, you can watch video of us performing, “Anomie” (from our new album), live on the radio. Other things you can look forward to in 2012? Panic Years’ return to SXSW, lots and lots (and lots) of tour dates, more keyboards/synths (and tambourines) at our shows, and an album release party that will rock your face off. In the meantime, here are some cool photos from this past year. We promise to take better/more photos in 2012.
